This week, students should be reading a variety of nonfiction and thinking about what they would like to focus on for their nonfiction report.  Students will choose a topic that falls under one of the following categories: Historical Events Scientific or Technological Discoveries or Advancements Human Impact on the Natural World Natural Phenomena WRITING 5th Grade – Today I introduced their next writing assignment, State Report.  Students received a packet with information and due dates.  Please look at the packet with your child so you know what they are responsible for over the next 7 weeks. 4th Grade – Today I introduced their next writing assignment, Human Systems.  I put up some information about this assignment on our writing page.  We will work on this assignment mainly in class, however, your child may like to read and take notes at home, as well. Over the Thanksgiving Break
